Located in the heart of La Louvière (southwest of Brussels), the Boch Site (on the site of the famous Royal Boch pottery) will cover 15 ha. The aim is to recreate a real city center in its entirety by developing a large mixed-use project. Sanitation work has already begun, construction will start in 2012, and the project, which will include 35,000 sqm of retail, 600 apartments, a museum (built by the region), an urban park and more than 1,500 parking spaces should be created by the end of 2013 or early 2014. The project, with its shops, forum, and cultural activities, will fill a void, adapting to the identity and the characteristics of the city while fulfilling the expectations of the local population. It will honor the inhabitants' devoted attachment to the city center of La Louvière. Easily accessible by public transportation (buses and trains), the mall will benefit from a particularly wide catchment area.
